Working Principle of Cyclone Dust Collector:

Separation theory and working principle of cyclone dust collector
The cyclone dust collector consists of a cylinder, a cone, an air inlet, an exhaust pipe, and an ash discharge port, as shown in the figure. The working process of the cyclone dust collector is that when the dust-containing gas enters the cyclone dust collector from the tangential air inlet, the air flow will change from linear motion to circular motion. Most of the rotating airflow flows downward from the cylinder in a rotating shape along the wall toward the cone, which is called external swirling airflow. The dust-containing gas generates centrifugal force during the rotation process, which throws dust particles that are denser than the gas toward the wall of the container. Once the dust particles come into contact with the wall, they lose radial inertial force and fall along the wall by downward momentum and downward gravity, and enter the ash discharge pipe. When the rotating and descending epicyclic gas reaches the cone, it moves closer to the center due to the contraction of the cone. According to the principle of constant rotation torque r, its tangential speed continues to increase, and the centrifugal force on dust particles also continues to strengthen. When the airflow reaches the lower end of the cone, it reverses from bottom to top in the same rotation direction from the middle of the cyclone dust collector, and continues to spiral, that is, internal swirling airflow.
